We made the press!

The March edition of the Royal Kennel Club Gazette featured the White Swiss Shepherd Dog and the club was highly honored to be asked to contribute material and photographs to the feature. "I must admit I'm extremely proud of how it's turned out and my thanks goes out to Carrie Thomas at the RKC and all the people who provided content and pictures to help bring it all together. Seeing the finished article makes the many hours I spent on it all worth while" Carl Henshaw, Secretary of the White Swiss Shepherd Dog Club of the UK.

And if that wasn't enough, we were asked to contribute to the Dogs Today Magazine as they were also running a feature on the White Swiss Shepherd Dog. Club President, Sue Renno, wrote the main feature explaining how she fell in love with  the breed to finally forming the club in 2016.

The White swiss shepherd dog club celebrates 10 years!!!

Seems hard to believe that 25 founder members formed our club in 2016, 10 years ago. So we thought Crufts would be a great venue to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We also have a breed club lunch organised at the RKC in London on the 18th of November 2026 so we're hoping we'll meet a few of you there. Also don't forget our lovely celebratory keyring, offered to all members who join or renew in 2026.

Discover Dogs @Crufts 2026

Another successful and very busy year on the White Swiss Shepherd Dog breed booth. I think it was probably our busiest yet!

Thursday was show day and always a tricky one to cover as most of the dogs are in the ring. However Rebecca Henshaw took the early spot with Maera (Whitehemi's Chimaera) before she had to strut her stuff in the ring. Mike and Lyn Dennis took over for the remainder of the day with their lovely Cash (Shadowshack All Moons), before Rebecca returned with one very tired Theo (Whitehemi's Charger).

Friday was the turn of Sarah and Nigel Conniford with their lovely girls Remember the Time Von Sutumer-Grund at Wolfies and Yosseleine Rowella of Haleys Future at Wolfies. Sarah Huges with Heidi (Whitehemi's Benz) and Naomi Claire Benton-Brown with 9 month old Diamond (Kontrastas Medusa) stepped in for the afternoon.

Day 3, Saturday and probably the busiest of all. Zivile Rockiene and Martin Bradshaw took over with Donna Ridgewell showing their 9 month old puppies, Marty (Kontrastas Majestic Martin) and Mo (Kontrastas Moonriver) in the morning. The afternoon session was covered by Chris Bergin with Robbie (IR/INT CH Arko Angel Niktel) and Tia (IR CH Hestia Olympic Hero Niktel) together with Vicki Dennison and Teina (Lyra Varvara I Came To Win at Kuri TWS) and Rachel Blakemore's Willow (Grey Lady Sivacki Biser).

Finally Sunday, not a quiet day by any means. Zivile Rockiene and Martin Bradshaw showing their youngsters Kontrastas Lieska and Charon Biala Wiedzma at Kontrastas, and Donna Ridgewell with her Leon (Kontrastas Leonhart). The afternoon was covered by Jodi Greenfield and Ricky with the lovely PAT dog Arlo (Whitehemi's Buick).

A massive shout out to all out volunteers for supporting the breed booth and thank you to Donna Ridgewell for organising the schedule.

Crufts Results 2026

2026 saw a great entry for the White Swiss Shepherd Dog with 34 entries competing in the AV Import Breed Register Pastoral class. For the first time ever the White Swiss Shepherd Dog drew the largest number of entries from the total entry of 252 dogs. The club extends its thanks to all the competitors for their entries, especially those from overseas.

Huge congratulations to all the winners, especially Tino Jalonen on his second Best of Breed at Crufts!
